JD 1130 review
Original Message   Dec 10, 2009 11:42 am
I finally got some snow to try it . We had about 5 inches of heavy wet snow. It had no problem moving the wet snow. The easy stear works good nice not to have use triggers. The electric chute control is fast but it is hard to find the dark and it really dims the light when the chute is rotating. The electric motor costs about 140  canadian to replace ,I hope it lasts. Hopefully we get deeper snow next time....more updates later.

If you need to replace the motor in the future you'll be able to find it for a lot less than that.  These are used for robotics and the manufacturer and part number is stamped on the gear motor.

I had posted this on another thread.

I have a John Deere 1130 SE with an electric chute and the 1130 is made by Simplicity.  Not sure, but I'd be surprised if they used a different supplier for the electric chute motor.  The label on my electric chute motor is part number 210-1011 made by AM Equipment.  It's just like the one for $25.99+shipping from the site below.  The gear is different and is easily replaced with the one from the snowblower.

Pretty funny.  I'm 50++ and am looking for an RC Helicopter for Christmas.
