Ariens Liquid Grease part number 70. A dealer will have the Areins grease for $10-13. You can use any good 00 grease. You can get owners, parts and service manuals below: http://apache.ariens.com/cgibin/ctrg0005?form=Download&model=924026&serial=1234&mantype=O&mantype=P&mantype=S&language=ENG&sessionid=28702A3AD72BF4C0AA733C4CB825206B&site=ARIENSS The 924050 has the aluminum gearcase but they can last forever, well at least the gears not the flanges.. The helical gear was a good one with some meat and a side section which added regidity. I'm rebuilding a 50. Yesterday I rebuilt the gearbox and this afternoon putting on the last coat of paint on the intake housing and impeller. New auger flanges got installed and wheel axle support flanges. The 924050 is a great machine with full differential, nice big tires, locking auger clutch and dash mounted chute control. Unsure about the year but I think mid to late 80's

Hey cando did you know that your local NAPA store can get a lot of parts for that rebuild.
