Epoxy type coating for snow blowers
Original Message   Feb 16, 2009 11:38 pm
Has any one used "Line-X" type coating for inside shoot and impeller areas? If put on smooth it should provide a slick durable finish. The machine would have to broken down for proper job but may be worth the time. Its my understanding this stuff goes on hot and etches into the metal. It holds up better than powder coat on pickup boxes.

Hi, I heard about this stuff for truck bedding, it's awesome product, I would give a try inside  the auger elements.

I looked at the web site & the product seems to be highly textured. So even if it's tough, I wonder if it would reduce the flow of snow through the bucket, impeller & chute. Might make it impossible to get frozen slush out?

They can make it smooth by leaving the grit out. I found out its used on boat bottoms. Its a type of epoxy put on hot, paint should be removed before its applied .
