ariens deluxe vs pro model

is there a difference in impeller speed between the deluxe and pro models??And does a faster spinning impeller throw snow farther?

No difference, but the extra hp from the higher output OHV's on the Pros helps sustain RPM's and the larger rakes and taller housing can feed the snow faster. Faster impellers could throw snow farther depending on the dynamics of the components. It could also simply recirculate more snow and prematurely wear out your unit. And you might need more engine too. Wouldn't recommend it. There's a lot of engineering that goes into optimizing the flow dynamics (of the better equipment at least). If spinning the impeller faster would have some marketable net gain, the unit would come stock as such.
