Need a new Tecumseh Engine
Original Message   Dec 15, 2007 9:22 am
Morning all,

I have an Ariens ST7524E that I purchased new from HD in Oct05.  It come w/the Tecumseh OH195SP-73502C.   Long story short, engine leaks oil.  Took it to Voss Brother back in September and got it back last week, they replace the engine cover under warranty. Anyway, when I fire it up and it still leaks oil.  Call them for a pickup this past Friday, they never did come.  I am sick and tire of dealing w/Tecumseh and their service dealer.  I need a new engine that I can just swap out.  Does anyone know where I can get one? Thanks. KT

Take your belt cover off on your blower and measure it!

Yo can then measure shaft diameter, length and height of shaft from platform!!

Fred, thanks for the suggestions.  When measuring the height, do I measure to the center of the shaft or the bottom of the shaft? KT

Center!!

That is the only constant on an engine that may come with a 3/4 or a 1 inch shaft

Also at Small Engine Warehouse, you can click on an engine, then on Spec's and that will give you the measurements of the engine!!
