Help with decision Ariens 926001 vs 921002/1027LE
Original Message   Oct 29, 2007 5:54 pm

Hi

I’m trying to decide between the Ariens 926001 vs the 921002

The 926001 is selling at $1000 and the 921002 at $1200. The only difference that I’m aware of is the 921002 is ½ HP more and has the Fingertip Axle lock/unlock. Am I missing something and in your opinion  are those two features worth $200

One day after I replied on this blog, I must recant!  Such as my luck.  Last night we received another 4 in of snow.  While using my P10524E, the electric chute jammed to the left.  I was thinking, … Oh great, the electric chute motor went out.  Luckily though, after looking at the workings closeer, the chute’s teeth, and the electric turning gear became misaligned.  Apparently, when the machine was assembled at the store I bought it at, the techs did not tighten down the drives' three adjustment screws. After adjusting the fit, and tightening down the screws, I was back to throwing snow a miracle mile.  I still think the P10524E is a fraking engineering marvel the way it handles the snow!
