remote deflector
Original Message   Oct 16, 2007 3:45 pm
I noticed that the remote deflector is just a cable and a spring.

When blowing wet and heavy snow and the deflector is in the down position,

can the force of the snow blowing through the shute cause the deflector to spring open to it's fullest point?

I decided on the Ariens , but not to sure what model.

                                                                                                    Thanks

No, because there is ( at least with Ariens) a tension spring that is suppose to be tightened enough to prevent that from happening but it should not be tighten up so much that it prevents the cable from moving. - Kris
