Marty,it must be a friction wheel. It's about 3 1/2" round with rubber around the outside. I will owe you big time because I have just about given up on finding parts for this.

ALL the Yamaha info I have is on microfiche so I cannot do much with it other than view it on my viewer.
If you truely cannot obtain the part for some reason, I have 2 other suggestions: 1. Bond a new piece of rubber onto the existing wheel. Tractor Supply sells sheets of heavy rubber stock that might work. Cut it to fit, then use JB Weld to affix the rubber to the wheel. 2. Another is to find a smaller friction wheel similar to yours, like Ariens 02201300 friction wheel which is 4 3/8" in diameter - was yours 3.5" in diameter with or without the rubber? Hope that helps... Marty

Marty, thanks for the advice. I'm going to redo the rubber on the wheel, so I'm headed out to Tractor Supply. Thanks for all your help..Schmidt

Hi Terry, Marty and Bmwe... As one of you mentioned the Yamaha Snowblower Fan Club on www.nabble.com is a great place to go for questions on these snowblowers. You can also order parts, manuals and I hear tracks, by sending an email to info@yamahagenuineparts.com. If you want a price on shipping parts to your door, you should provide an address in your email. This email belongs to an online business called www.yamahagenuineparts.com. They sell just yamaha stuff. Snowblowers are not an active product group on their site since, well, they are discontinued! However, with the interest and longevity of this product, maybe we will be able to revive the yamaha snowblower. What do you think, is this possible? Let me know what luck you have.
