I have a weedeater edger.  I am not sure of the model number or anything because I don't feel like going out to the garage to find out.  I just bought a new blade because the other one wore down to far.  I cannot get the old blade off.  I misplaced the instructions.  Is there a button I need to press to lock the blade so I can get it off?  Thanks.

I think you are right to look for a button or a place to stick a screw driver through. The button should lock the axle so you can get the blade off.

To remove it you have to unscrew it clockwise. Mine is real difficult to remove sometime.

Did you have any luck?  I'm trying to do the same.  I have a weedeater brand edger - power edgerPE 550.  I have a new blade and have tried loosing the bolt - both left and right.  I've sprayed wd40, but still can't get it to move...
