Help with Ariens model 932001 compact sno-thrower
Original Message   Jan 27, 2006 10:51 pm
I just picked up a model 932001 sn# 026574 at an estate sale for cheap.  It appears to be complete and in excellent condition.  The widow says her late husband used it for many years without any problems and even gave me the name of the dealer it was purchased at.  (They have since gone out of business).  Her husband died about 5 years ago and the blower has been sitting in his unheated shed untouched for those 5+ years.

Unfortunately, there is about a half tank of gas in it so it was never properly stored.

Any hints on what to do to give me the best shot at getting this blower back in working order?

Thanks a million!  I'm off now to ariens dot com to find the manual.

Thanks,
Brad

Well,

I had time this morning to play with this old blower.  The widow called and told me she had found the original owners manual.  There was a date written on the cover 8-9-1979.  WOW, this thing doesn't look that old to me!  What do you think?  Anyway, I drained out the old fuel, topped off the oil and after a little coaxing, it started up and ran smooth as could be.  Now I need to actually change the oil and lube this thing up.

I noticed in the manual it references yard attachments for use in the summer, anyone have any info on this??

THanks!
Brad

There is a tiller attachment for these machines.
