.................heating bill lowered.....

...and we may all receive this gift based upon the warmer temps moving in. Lets see where natural gas futures go next week.

We have  about  6 inches on the ground here in Northern Newbrunswick.  2 of which fell last night. Not even worth while gassing up the machine!

No snow in Cleveland either. Rain may be on the way; we still have soft snow in the gravel driveway.

Still, we decided to crank it up to be sure we would be ready after our first (2 hr) oil change.

Merry Christmas to all.

Its always worthwhile to gas up the machine . Especially just after you finish using it, It cuts down on condensation getting into the fuel tank. Of course since this is a snow blower you can argue that there isn't much to condense.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Got a nice Christmas present on boxing day and the 27th .  Nearly 3 feet of snow fell here in Northern NB !!  No,  really I'm not kidding !!  Went out with my shiny new 11528 and what do you know !  It doesn't throw snow hardly 20 feet!!   I was really po'd so I called my OPE dealer. He was at the house in an hour with a new 10.5 hp Husqvarna while he took mine to the shop.  The Husky worked great but after 1 hour he was back with mine and I saw why I paid more for the Ariens. It throws even the heaviest snow 50 feet.  I finished my driveway and the widow who lives next door without any troubles.

It turns out my Ariens' idler wheel needed adjustment. It  became prevalent  when the blower was under heavy load !

To anyone in this forum who owns a Husqvarna snowblower my hats off to you!  They are a great machine and I know it got me out of my jam! I especially liked the infinate speed control.

To compensate me for my frustration my OPE dealer offered me 40% off an Ariens snow cab.  I'm going to pick it up today.

By times it was throwing it 30 to 35 feet. Pretty far considering the snow was heavy.   One thing for sure was that you could not get that Husky to bog or stall out!  The snow was 2 feet over the Auger housing and that Husky just chugged away!

Toolpig,

Thanks, I have the 9 HP OHV Tec engine on my blower.

I bought it last March. I have not used it to date.

We have had only rain or 2 in's of slush!!

That was why I asked the question!!

Check your mail for a PM.
