Help in selecting either a Lawn-Boy or Toro Power Mower.

Somewhere I may have heard that Lawn-Boy is now part of Toro so the choice may be personal. Both have Tecumseh engines.
Does anyone have any experiece with my two choices? 1) Lawn-Boy 10686 Insight Series 21-Inch Power Mower with Sens-a-Speed & Electric Start 2) Toro Recycler 20070.
Or, perhaps, you have a different recommedation. Thanks, gary

All and John E Davis who said the following, but I do not know how to make this a quote "I tilt the machine slightly to put the gas filler hole near the lowest point and use a syphon hose on my 926DLE"
How do you make a syphon hose, or can we buy them at the lawn supply center.
Thanks, Gary

Re: Buying used Honda mower, need some help and advice

Mike,
John E Davis, who is knowledgeable & helpful on this forum, and, I think a Honda owner, may help us. However, my notion, unless you know who & why the person is selling a 2 yr old Honda, it does not make sense. Seems that John mentioned (you do no say how much $ you can spend) a quality Honda mover in the $500-700 US range. If possible, I like to buy new equipment, then keep it a long time, or give it to friend or relative when I no longer have the need. My other thought is that if you want to be like your dad (ask him what his opinion) & keep it for 20 years, and look at the annual deprecaiton cost, then a $1,000 mover that lasts 10 years has an annual usage cost of $100 per year. In addtion, as you are using your Honda for these ten years, you will have that good feeling of using quality equipment during the cutting of the grass. Or buy a new Toro or Lawnboy as they are quality and can be bought new for $300-400 US. Just my opinon as I look at my brand new Orange Ariens snow blower with only hours running time this past Cleveland winter, but still think you get what you pay for and there is no substitute for quality.

John,
Thanks for the pull the starter cord for compression trick; I will try to form that habit.
How do you drain the fuel before storage? What about running the engine dry?

I am sure either snowblower would work for you. We have the Ariens 9.25 hp and find it well-built and powerful. Others on this board will comment on both machines. At our local HD, they were saying you could get 10% off on your FIRST credit card purchase, which might interest you no matter which snowblower you select.
