"Service Position" on Ariens 11528
Original Message   Oct 31, 2005 10:38 pm
Hi folks,

This is my first post since last year.  It looks like winter is not far off!

Tonight I was greasing up my machine getting ready for the coming season. I got the auger and wheels done, then I went to grease the sprocket /pinion assembly, shift lever arm and the hex shaft. My interpretation in reading the manual is that I need to put my machine in the "service position" to do this. So, I take it that I stand the unit up on the blower housing, nose down? Alsodo I have to drain the fuel/oil out of the unit prior to propping it up? Also, if there’s anything else I should be aware of performing this task please advise.

Thanks!

Chuck
