Echo PB 6000 Dies on acceleration

Hello,
I have just bought a new Echo PB 6000 blower and it worked terrificly for the first 20 minutes but when I used the throttle the engine died. It started up again no problem, idling nicely then as soon as I hit the throttle the engine just cut out. There is enough gas in there and I doubt it can be a carb problem as it is a brand new machine, any folks out there had similar problems or have some suggestions on how to fix it?
cheers

Hello Marty,
thanks for your response. Its possible that the fuel is an old fuel mix so Ill drain it and start a fresh. Just one really dumb question, I bought a specific 2 stroke petrol mix, do I still need to mix in some oil with and if so I asume a normal 2 stroke oil will be sufficient.
cheers
