I still think this Husqvarna 9027 STE with it's 9 hp OHV engine is a very sweet machine.  I wish I was able to test one of these to see how well the trigger control steering worked.  This is the machine I would have wanted to put up against my Toro.  I wonder what these are going for these days?  It has everything except for electric start.  A bright red paint job would have done this one justice.  If there had been more dealers in New York that stocked them, this would have been my baby

BTW....just thought I'd do my duty to keep this thread going.  Frankly, it wouldn't be Abby's without it

 Richie,

Husky, At Lowes  $995.00, most dealers, $995.00 for the 105STE !!

Has a clutch disconnect for steering!

Looked at all parts plans, 105STE and up ,only found

3 differences  other than engines, on blowers from 105STE and up.

They were pulley and belts!

Looks like a quality machine! They weigh around 265 pounds  + up.

Hi there Fred,

When I was there, they only stocked the 10 hp L-head model.  I never did see the 9 hp OHV version.  Man, $995.00 for the 105STE, that sounds like a great deal.  I wonder if the 9027 is more money because of the OHV engine.

Well there are lotsa thoughts on Husqvarna models...we do sell almost the full line.  We didn't take the snowblowers though...thought they were too cheaply made.

Thought we stick to the Snappers and the Ariens.

We carry the chainsaws, trimmers, brushcutters, clearing saws, chop saws, push mowers, lawn tractors and there has to be some I'm missing...love the product line - not fond of the color either, but then again I hate red too.

But I thought I'd just add that little tidbit, not this is a way too serious thread.

 Richie,

At the OPE dealer in Dover, De, the 9027STE-XP was  $1199.00.

I figure that you are better off buying the 1027, putting on a 13 HP OHV for $400.00

and having one hell of a powerfull blower!!!

All I have to say is that I love my Swedish Rider. One of these days when someone tells me  what the real benefit of posting a review in the review section is, then I'll probably do it. Otherwise it's a best kept secret.

Hi Sherri,

That's incredible.  If you weren't in the business, I would never have taken your comment seriously, and thanks for that warning.  As you mentioned, its the same around here,  many OPE dealers do carry their line of other equipment, but usually never have their snowblowers on the floor.  As much as I wanted it, I was just too concerned about problems with them that it may have been difficult to get good service on one.  That's why I was even more surprised seeing them at Loews.
