Kevin - thanks for the compliment!! OK - I'll share my routine/detailing "secrets":
1. GUNK foamy engine brite. Spray all over - but it can ruin decals so be careful!
2. Use a sponge with a pot scrubber (3M Scotchbrite or equivilant). SCRUB SCRUB SCRUB!!! Now here's a secret - scratches usually come out with a Mr Clean Magic Eraser!
3. Rinse down completely, try not to soak the engine too much - especially if the engine has a points ignition. Repeat cleaning any stubborn spots, including tires. Rinse off.
4. Blow off with leaf blower, then towel dry it good.
5. I then spray Armor-all over the entire machine! It brings up lifeless/dull paint like you wouldn't believe! If your paint is good, use any good quality automotive wax (I like Mother's California Gold). Do the tires & engine with Armor All too.
I want to see all our member's rides now. They should look like "new money"!!!
