Hi all! Just joined the other day. I was impressed by the long snow story in the old forum. It would have won first place in the Arien's snow story contest last year in which the winner received a new 8524DLE. BTW, I live in North Jersey and will be moving to my Honesdale PA home next year. Too cold to move now. My family was originally from Scranton PA many years ago and my entire family is in the process of moving to Honesdale. Anyway, no snow yet but it is real cold and windy in North Jersey. About 12 degrees in Jersey and -2 in Honesdale this morning. I have an Arien's 1128 pro that I bought last year with the 12v battery, weights and drift breakers. The only thing I did not like about the machine was the initial service. The auger was tapping the "impeller to auger drive shaft" which required bending about 1/16 inch and the choke shaft was slightly bent in shipping which required another adjustment along with adjustments to the spring tensions for the chute and speed controls. I hate poor quality control. I also believe that the only way to do something right is to do it yourself. My machine is all straightened out now and ready for a 2 footer.

"""With 41 driveways on the list this year, I always have 2 on the truck and 3-4 backups in the shop ready to go!""" Ken, that's a lot of customers! How many of you tackle those? Two of us do it in about 6-7 hours. We have a tighter list this year and that really helps with the timing. Also, of the new ones, we have several that are 2 or 3 at one stop. Ken
