Ariens 1130dle HANDS DOWN.

Second choice, for occasional to average use would be the 927 LE

I WOULD NOT really concider anything else listed.  ESPECIALLY the Canadian Tire models.  They have been reduced to below average quality now.

Sears would be a last resort, if necessay.

As a landscape maintenance professional, I run Walkers.  One of them is the MB.  It would be perfect for you.  Our machine runs the 42" mulching deck and the 56" side discharge deck, depending on our needs.  You would then have  a quality machine that will last you a long time.  I just don't see that in all the "homeowner" ZTRs that are flooding the market.

Re: Buying used Honda mower, need some help and advice

I think that a used Honda is usually a good buy.  People that spend that much on a piece of equipment usually take better care of it than someone that buys a low buck machine.  They tend to hold their prices, but you are buying a quality piece of equipment.

Rosscopeeko:  Where in Canada are you?  Actually, I have a Honda mower that I acquired last year (from a homeowner) that I have no real use for.  It is self propelled ( not hydro) and has bag and mulch plug.  It has the Zenoy (plastic) deck.  Was $1300.00 new.  He gave me the papers too.  I got it in trade from a client.  It runs like a new one.  I run commercial Lawnboys and Toros, so, it really isn't for me.

Silicone!!! Some guys use fluid film.

Wow!

I would say that if you are rich enough to use Fluid Film to coat the shoot, then maybe you could afford a service and stay warm inside.  That stuff, while great, is quite expensive.

Nibbler:

I can't imagine how you are going through all that gas?!

I have 47 driveways on the list this year, and I fill up the B&S intek at about the 2/3 point.  Easily, I am  doing 20-25 driveways before filling up...........FOR THE FIRST TIME.  Those engines are a lot more efficient than the TEC engines.  I use to have to fill up long before that.  To say that you are going through about 14L of fuel with 20-30 driveways is very confusing.  Could you elaborate a little on that one, please?
