Hello,
I was just wondering, do we really want to delete posts?
If we do, then it may kind of "break the chain of continunity", and make posts be very confusing to others.

It almost seems wrong, like if I said stuff that others responded to, then edited it out, the responses would make no sense
and just get others angry.

I say, think before you type, and let things stay, if more explaination is needed, add it later.

Just my humble opinion.

Although others may be of the opinion that my post sometimes are "useless", i have never posted to "up my count".
I too was a bit bummed that I lost, (at least for now), my over 800 posts and a senior member rank, but it is not the number that counts,
it is the sense of community, and that our imput is sincere and helpful here.

The number of posts do not earn respect, it is the content of our posts that do.

If we lost or "points" every week, and had to start over, would it really make a big difference in the comoraderie we enjoy?

I do not think so.   I'm reminded of a verse I once read,  "Whosoever be the greatest among you, must be servant of all"

Respectfully,

Frank D.

We will provide a way to get your old post count back here. The problem with doing it right now is that some people are still posting on WTB and so their post count is still "moving" over there...

Since some of the screen names have changed this sounds like a manual operation will be required.

Sure hope it is worth the effort.

Peter,

Warn everyone as to a cut off date, and lock in their post numbers!
