Online MBAs gaining ground
MBA’s online are gaining hold. With the Dean of the prestigious Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania predicting virtual worlds created for learning business, you gotta think it will happen.
The MBA norm today consists of lectures and case study simulation, but with technology making virtual interactive worlds common occurrences, it makes sense that this approach could be used to great effect in online learning. Wharton has been in the business of business education for over 125 years so maybe they will become innovators in creating a curriculum that actually utilizes the best part of the virtual world experience.
Some business schools are aligning with Apple Computer to spread their business “word”. Think free events seminars, lectures and any relevant news on your Ipod or MP3 player, with a special login to the school’s intranet site. And why not?
