I bought this Sentria model Kirby (circa 2007) because its the SAME vacuum as the brand new one ( Avalir and Avalir 2)....just cosmetic color changes, really. I'd recommend it because it uses HEPA bags that don't leak dust and are huge...so you can use them for quite a while before replacing. It has an automatic transmission of sorts...TechDrive its called, and its valuable because its a heavy vacuum (24lbs) it only takes 1lb of force to pull it or push it....amazing innovation. I spoke with vacuum repair shops and they attest to the longevity of these machines and the ease of servicing them. Unlike Dyson's and Shark's and other throw-away bagless vacs, low maintenance...only1 bag ( no filters to deal with).
