Adapting a vacuum to make the opening smaller

Hello! I have a vacuum cleaner prettymuch like the classic red Henry type (http://www.toolstop.co.uk/components/com_virtuemart/shop_image/product/3438454323aa7892557d32a21f37f528.jpg) But the opening at the end of the long, black, plastic pipe (without any nozzle attached) is too wide to fit into the bottom of my sliding windows where a lot of dust has accumulated. I'd like to place some kind of adaptor on the end to reduce the aperture size, but I think that would be pretty difficult to find where I am (Ghana, West Africa). Would anyone have any DIY solutions? I was thinking about taping a small plastic funnel to the end ... if I can find one! All ideas appreciated :) Thanks, pbt04
