Re: Gasoline Powered Vacuum wet/DRY? Where oh WHERE??!

Thanks Vernon. That one industrial version is 325lbs lol. I can't imagine packing that down to a river. The other one that you listed is way more feasible. I worry about what happens if I suck up some water while cleaning a crevice with it. It looks like, that is the only way to go unless I pack in a 60 pound generator and shop vac. I'm amazed that Shop Vac hasn't made a more movable and gas model.
Gasoline Powered Vacuum wet/DRY? Where oh WHERE??!

Hi folks. I am new to the forum. This is my first post. After much interenet searching and frustration, I got smart and joined this forum, hoping that somebody can direct me in the right place. We have shop vacs that pick up wet/dry material. These are great if you are near an electrical outlet, but here is what I am trying to find. My plan is to find a gas powered vacuum, not a leaf blower connected to a bucket like I have been seeing, but an actuall wet/dry vac run on gasoline that I can use for gold prospecting to clean up crevices whether they are dry or have water in them. Does anyone know where I can find such a vacuum? I want to avoid having to buy an expensive generator which would be mean heavy and packing to the river. The dewault etc that have teh 18 or 28 volt packs are expensive and won't last on a charge very long, so thats why I am searching for a gas vacuum. Somebody, somewhere must make such a thing??? I can't be the person to be looking?

Thanks everyone for your responses.
