I'm not going to jump on the bandwagon and diss American or Japanese made products, but, I can tell you that since 1990 I have owned 3 Nissan Maxima's and 2 Infiniti G35 coups, all of these were purchased new. These cars have been rock solid and other than one of the maximas needing a window regulator replaced when it was about 9 years old all of these Nissan/Infiniti products have performed flawlessly never having to go to the dealer for service except for an O2 sensor on one of the Maximas. I have performed all standard normal service on these cars. The 1990 Nissan Maxima had over 265,000 miles on it as it was passed down to my son then to my nephew before it was rear ended and sent to the junk yard.

"Great News" I Swapped the Husqvarna for a..........Toro........yes yes yes....the big brother 1028 OXE! paid the extra $300.00 and got on friday. I did notice thou, the joy stick moves the the chute around very easy, Too easy, and it swings on its own, i can't get it to stay "looked" in the 1 o'clock possition, hard right or left it holds, but not off center. is it a adjustment? Thanks Remove the cover just behind the chute,. Use a nutdriver, Ensure that when you "press" the joystick button, the gear under the removed cover becomes unlocked, allowing the chute to move...The cable is installed at the factory..

From Toro's Service Manual regarding the pivoting/fixed scraper:
FIXED SCRAPER
Because the fixed scraper is bolted solidly to the auger
housing it is intended to be raised slightly off the ground
to minimize catching on pavement cracks and solid
objects. The amount that it should be raised depends on
how rough the ground is. The scraper is adjustable as
the mounting holes are slotted
PIVOTING SCRAPER
A pivoting scraper is more complex but has advantages
when used on paved surfaces. It can be set to scrape
down to the surface. Should it hit something solid, it
will slide rearward; two springs return it to the operating
position once it clears the object. However, use on a
gravel driveway may jam or damage the scraper, as
rocks can be forced between the scraper and housing.
Therefore, the pivoting scraper should not be used on
gravel surfaces
