I'm more of a buster than I am a fixer, but doesn't the expansion and contraction of the aluminum create problems with the JB Weld repair? I guess my question has already been answered since you have had success doing it. |

I don't know about Civics, but CRVs switched to timing belt for 2002+ so that isn't needed anymore on those. Also, you posted your question in the lawn and garden forum so you probably won't get many useful replies.
Old thread, wrong forum, but....
No big deal, but I think you meant timing chain. FWIW, The 2004 Civic would have a timing belt.

The numbers might all be true but are probably best condition numbers and have nothing to do with average snow or EOD. An SS can throughput a bunch of good condition snow but seem to bog down disproportionatly to a two stage as conditions toughen. Interesting information.
One thing I might ask, do you really want to confuse the issue with facts?

The salesman from Honda dealer said they were seeing same leaky carborator problems on Toro 621XX. You have two year warranty on the Toros and hopefully they got your problem resolved. I think your carborator is fairly cheap (under $20) so you can replace it if it leaks again and you are out of warranty.

The new Toro 621XXs are also having leaky carborator problems so I would hold off on buying a Toro. This is the primary reason why I helped a friend last Saturday to buy a new Honda instead of Toro. It is not fun having a foul smelling garage.
Ouch!
This is the first I have heard of this. Makes me wonder if my 421QE is actually fixed after the recall was performed. I never had the problem and I do have and use a fuel line shut-off valve so I'm not overly concerned yet. There is no recall listed on the Toro site, and a Google search doesn't bring up any references to any problems with this years models. How about a link to any information you have seen about the problem still existing?
