Hello UK Alex:

It's been mentioned on the Forum: Have a look.

There are a couple of posts about it.  Haven't seen it up close and personal yet.  But it is a new model after the TTI takeover so I suspect it is a joint HOOVER and TTI design mix.  It fills a void in the HOOVER line up for many years.  HOOVER has the Slider (rechargeable stick about $25-$40 retail) and the Flair a lightweight stick (about $50 retail) and the HOOVER Tempo 16 pound upright (about $60 retail).  But nothing comparable to the lightweight uprights from Eureka and Dirt Devil.  SOO this is it.  It will sell.  Large dirt bin, 13 pounds, 12 amps, tools on board, nice brush roll vice the competition and that's it's strong point as I understand, on/off brush roll switch foot pedal operated.  Nice features for the money ($50 retail).

Last I checked it was still not on the HOOVER Web Site.  But should be hitting stores like Wal*Mart here in the USA very soon.  I will buy and use and compare to my 8 pound ORECK XL Classic and post a review on the Forum.
