Title: Re: Dirt Devil I=Vax? Post by Mike_W. on 07/01/07 at 11:20pm The DD i has been shown on tv ads for two weeks now. This was an upright design that was designed by TTI, used for Bosch uprights and VAX VX series uprights in Europe/Australia(originally). This series is on its third generation filtratrion system/design. |
Title: Re: Dirt Devil I=Vax? Post by Carmine_Difazio on 07/02/07 at 7:41am Decent bagless vacuum for the money $250 and comes with a 5 year warranty. TTI no doubt has its eyes and market sales focused on the high price big box bagless vacuum brand. A nice marketing strategy by TTI--discontinue the VAX upright line and reintro as a DD i-Vacuum. The rub: Will US vacuum buyers accept $250 Dirt Devil vacuums. Or should TTI have used the Royal brand name instead? Have to wait and see. These vacuums are on TARGET store shelves already and selling. They have an upscale look that appeals to the young, single/married vacuum shoppers who are more inclined to buy bagless vacuums. The cordwinder is a staple of these vacuums (Siemens-Vax). A feature which users prefer in vacuums rather than the old-fashioned cord wrap. The high priced brand big box bagless still has not mastered that feature on its uprights. Despite all its engineers working with huge R&D monies. Plus the DD (like the Vax) comes with a headlight (another feature the high priced brand big box bagless doesn't provide at 2X the cost of the DD i-Vacuum) and now the DD has a 5 year (rather than 2 year with Vax) warranty. Competition: The number ONE risk to organizations as reported by 150 CEOs, CFOs and other senior level executives among the top 2,000 companies of 2007. Carmine D. |
Title: Re: Dirt Devil I=Vax? Post by old-timer on 07/04/07 at 12:53pm These machines have some very nice features, great suction,on board attachments, cord reel, 2 motors, but are very heavy and have a weak brush roll[sound familiar]. The rear wheel are tiny and the machine just feels unbalanced. There was also a bagged version of the machine, the customer feedback was always the same, too heavy, hard and dirty to empty, too complicated to use. O.T. |
