I personally don't know anyone who has one as all my neighbors are apartment dwellers too and you really need a good amount of free space to store one of these. If you don't mind -- were you able to land yours at a nice price? Regards, Venson |

Title: Re: I bought a Rug Doctor carpet shampooer at Kohl Post by Vernon on 03/31/07 at 10:43am The carpet and rug institute gives the rug doctor their seal of approval. They were rather impressed with the unit when I spoke with them. I to am looking for a small portable extractor as well. Key word being "small and portable". I've grown use to extractors with two, two stage vac motors producing 150" of lift and around 10-12 gallons in capacity. (like driving a small golf cart around your living room) I've only ran across a couple of models with these specs. Mytee had a five gallon one, steambrite's in house products have recently listed one as well. I swear this newly listed unit is the same one that cleanfix makes. Both 5 gallon in capacity and rather compact. Most 5 gallon units appear to come with a single three stage vac, producing anywhere from 115-135 of lift. Only thing though, look forward to spending around a grand or more. Vernon |
Title: Re: I bought a Rug Doctor carpet shampooer at Kohl Post by Tri-Star_Vacman on 04/01/07 at 4:57pm U can also rent Rug Doctor at supermarkets; I remember they had Rug Doctors for a while, then had other brand, then went back to Rug Doctor. Rug Doctor is more reliable & better than most carpet cleaning machines thanx to its vibrating brush. |
