Title: Central Vac Choices Post by vaclov on 06/21/07 at 6:43pm O.K. you guys these are the choices I have been looking at a Nutone, Hoover, Eureka, Hayden, Beam, and M&S. Can any of you guys give me the low down on these central vacuum units. Plus can you guys give me some tips on the kind of power brush I should get. The powerbrushes I was looking at was the Hoover Powermax, Nutone CT-600 Power Brush, and Wessel-Werk. |

Title: Re: Central Vac Choices Post by Mike_W. on 06/23/07 at 2:52am I would exclude the HOOVER, because it uses a flat belt and construction does not seem as solid as the other mentioned power nozzles. It still does a very good job of cleaning the carpeting though. MY first choice would be the cogged belt power nozzle of the CT600. It is a very good performer. You will find it on other systems, as well as some portable vacuum cleaner brands. You will also find it under Hayden, but w/a slightly different hood. Parts are very, very easy to get. MY second choice would be a Wessel-Werk design. You can find this under different central systems as well. It cleans well and uses a cogged belt. I have found this PN to be alittle bit quieter than the above mentioned. This nozzle tends to be alittle bit harder to push compared to the above also, but it is not a huge difference. |
