Quick Cleaning with Quik-Broom

When you have crumbs and dog hair that continually make their way to your floor, this is a good stick vacuum to pull out in between regular vacuuming. It uses a Wessell-Werk brush nozzle with rubber wheels on each side. The wheels make the vacuum easier to glide across the floor and also prolongs brush life. The vacuum does a good job of picking up debris from floors.

The dirt is deposited into a plastic dirt cup that uses a cloth-type filter. This filter needs to be emptied along with the dirt cup. For best results, the cloth filter should be shaken outside. This may cause problems for some who have major allergy problems. I found this 2 speed Quik-Broom to be more on the expensive side compared to other Hoover Quik-Brooms. The German-made brush nozzle is a most likely culprit in the higher cost. This vacuum comes with a longer 25ft. cord compared to other similar Hoover models which have a 20ft. cord.

The onboard hose and crevice tool are really only good for small pick ups like dirt between the refrigerator and counter. The user will not have adequate power to clean the family automobile.

This vacuum will do fine for cleaning floors, but if you are only cleaning non-wood flooring, a suggestion may be to purchase a cheaper Hoover Quik-Broom with the regular rug/floor nozzle like the S2551 or similar. It will be cheaper than this model. I have also found that a 2 speed motor is not that important with this kind of cleaner, since it does not have the same power of a full sized upright or canister.

Pros Cons
Adequate for cleaning floors
Good floor brush with a lot of bristles
Harder to empty dirt cup
Not the best for major allergy sufferers
