Replacing the idler/clamp assembly for Eureka 4870 Series MZ-3

New here..hope I can get some help!
How does one get the bottom clear plastic cover off to get at the idler/clamp assembly? I've taken out all the screws, including the ones holding all the wheels. It's not budging, and before I really try to pry it off I thought I'd try to get some expert advice first.
