Hello: I have inherited the subject vacuum,which works great.The only problem is the power drive mechanism is not working,and it is a beast to push,especially over shag carpeting.Is there a website I can visit with suggestions on a DIY repair? Thanks!

Well I have no idea about how to solve this mechanical problem to your vacuum cleaner, but I would really suggest you some different sites to know about the repair the vacuum, these sites are like amazon, rainbow vacuum, centralvacuumstores etc.

Or you could try contacting a Hoover representative. I had an older Windtunnel with a similar problem, they fixed it up in less than a week, and then I sold it on Craigslist.
