Vacuum Cleaners Discussions

Last week "Which" magazine announced upcoming tests of the new AEG-Electrolux Ultra vacuum series.  The "Ultra-Silencer" model in the series is being advertised as the quietest vacuum in the world due to the 68db it emits while in operation.  Wonder if it will appear in the U.S.

The only PN floorheads I've used are Sebo - their older ET H is heavier than the newer ET 1 but is also quieter. As for turbo brushes - Miele's larger STB 205 turbo brush on the cat and dog models are very loud compared to Sebo's similarly designed one. Vacuum cleaner brands can make their machines quieter but whether they can be bothered to do it and then NOT charge the earth for it, is another matter entirely.
