Hoover FloorMATE H3000
Original Message   Jan 10, 2010 8:55 pm
I have a Mdl #H3000 floormate & can't find the grout brushes for that machine.  Are they still available or can I use the 6 brush for the newer style Floormate?  I don't know if this is the brushes I need because I have white tile floors to clean & the white SpinScrub brushes on my H3000 don't reach the grout very good.

I don't know how it compares to other floormates, but Costco currently has a floormate on sale for about $105 including shipping.

SEVERUS:

Terrific price.  This is the same as my H3060 which was priced $160 when I purchased in August 2004, but I got all the extra attachments.  I never use them.  The brushes pictured are the set that I suggested hooverman use on his tile job.  I use this brush set for the tile floors in my daughter's house which is sculptured rather than smooth.  I find the single row standalone spin/scrub brushes work better for this type surface than the double rows I use on my own smooth tile.  Interestingly all 4 reviews, recent too, rate the product 5 stars.  I find the suction cleaning adequate on the Floormate for dry surface cleaning and prefer instead my ORECK XL to vacuum clean the tile floors before washing/drying with the HOOVER Floormate.  BTW, WRT noise level, the Floormate is quiet and both my [now in puppy heaven] and my daughter's dog have no problems with the Floormate's noise.

Is anyone willing to trade the H3000 FloorMATE for a H3060?

I FINALLY found the grout brushes for my FloorMATE; it took a while to get them, but it sure got the tile cleaner than ever before.

The grout SpinScrub brushes for the H3000, H3001, H3010 & H3012 is Part# 59177172

Regular SpinScrub brushes for the H3000 thru H3012 is Part# 59177038

I don't know why customers have to buy that brush set seperately when they buy the Mdl H3000 Floormate; the H3010 came with BOTH brushes:

  1. WHITE for most hard floors
  2. GREY or BLUE for stone, tile & grout

Maybe I'll upgrade to either the H3050 or H3060 but they're both out of my price range now.  I wish the Floormates were quieter, since they're really loud (wearing earplugs doesn't seem to help much but I do anyways)

I use the white on my smooth tile & grout and use the blue on my daughter's sculptured tile and grout.  I am pleased with the results.  No problem with the FM noise for my dog/my daughter's dog [both yellow labs, one English and one American] who usually assist me with the jobs.
