Howdy,

While checking out the Panasonic website today, it seems the company has entered an upright to the "how high can we go" list.  It is the $800 (MSRP) MC-UG787.  Per specs offered, it has all the usual plus a dirt sensor and automatic carpet height adjustment. Like the new Kenmore canister this bagged upright also claims advantage of Opti-Flow.  Downside, per specs, is that it weighs 25 pounds.  Upside -- well, they throw in a bare floor tool.

Hi Venson:

I can accept MSRP of $800 on German and USA made vacuums.  Save those, all others especially if sold in the big box retailers are worthy of $200-$300 MAX, most especially now.
