Eureka 5893BVZ . . .
Original Message   Jan 8, 2009 7:04 am
On point this time. . . . Eureka has come up with its own contribution to "pet" vacuums -- the bagless Boss 4D Pet Fresh -- a derivative of the Boss series.  Eureka claims its Pets Fresh filter emits two times the odor killing power of baking soda to eliminate pet and household odors.  A link to the user guide is also included.  The cleaner shows no sign of possessing either a pleated internal filter and the term "cyclonic" is touted nowhere but one article by a reporter who tested the machine says it works well. (Link follows.)

Hi Venson:

A poster here recently [Joe] mentioned buying this new/similar EUREKA upright and had some questions about the new bug killer/odor resistant paper bags from Arm and Hammer which EUREKA supplies with the purchase.  For the similarity in price, I'd probably go with the HOOVER WT SP at COSTCO for $159 over the BOSS and use the 3m Filtrette paper/cloth bags with the WT.
