Hi, A link to a PDF of the user maunal follows. Dirt Devil has used this idea -- broom but no dust pan -- for some time. The new "Brum" has a bit sleeker look and apparently has a more convenient manner of emptying. However, this is basically nonsense. There is only one position with which to work with the thing so forget about easily cleaning under furniture or behind things. For the price, one would be better served to buy a decent, more maneuverable stick vac or just stick with a regular broom and dust pan. But as they say in France, "If you can't dazzle 'em with brilliance, baffle 'em with BS." http://www.dirtdevil.com/CustomerService/Manuals/DirtDevilManual.aspx?ManID=4d62fae7-38b9-4d06-9689-38b1d534e956Happy New Year, Venson

Hello Acerone: You may want to check out the latest in cordless Dirt Devil and HOOVER products called AccuCharge. One of the problems I noted with my HOOVER Slider after 2 years is the run time is halved. AccuCharge technology has a sensor that cuts off the charging when it senses a full charge. This avoids overcharging and overheating which diminish the products' run time over time. Also earns the Energy Star for appliance usage. Several threads are here on the new products and technology. And of course, the Web Sites with te products. Carmine D.
