Ariens 926LE First Uses
#1   Dec 14, 2005 7:12 pm
I have had the opportunity to use my new Ariens on two occasions within a short period of my purchase. This is a great machine! I am able to clear my double drive and long sidewalk in no time. Previously, I used a Polaris ATV to plow the snow. Boy what a difference. The ATV truly was not designed to push a lot of snow, not to mention you have to find a place to stack it once you get it out of your drive. The Ariens allows me to clear the drive and sidewalk in 1/4 the time. I leave one auto in the street, While I plow the drive and area around my second car. I can plow immediately adjacent to my second car and shoot the snow well ove the cars roof and into the yard with ease. Also, I am able to plow a nice area of my grass yard for my dogs without damaging the grass. This is a well built and fantastic operating machine. This is a machine that will provide me many years of use. I have no problem staring the unit in low temps with either the pull starter or electric. This was a great purchase. I no longer dread a snowfall. Thanks Ariens.

The Ariens throwers are great machines. I just purchased a 926LE and it is awesome. The previous post about purchasing from HD in a box and assembling yourself is gospel. Before coming across this site, I visited HD and all the Ariens models on the floor had some form problem with the control levers. While there, a customer came by why my salesperson was trying to remedy a stuck chute control and he stated exactly what was wrong and that the machine was assembled incorrectly. i bought mine from a local farm equipment supply company and it was assembled perfectly. Also good for contacting and getting help on the machine later. There are many good models out there, just make sure you purchase from a dealer that services. Good Hunting!
Ariens 926LE

I have found the discussions here very useful in the selection of my new machine. Just picked up my new Ariens 926LE and am waiting for Chicago's biggest snowfall of the season beginning tonight. I had been close to selecting the DLE but it was $500.00 more and the salesperson stated that for my use 40' double drive and 120' sidewalk I would never realize a difference. He also stated that they were identical in terms of longevity given my use. After looking at Husqvarna, Toro, Poulan, Craftsman, none have the build specs of an Ariens. Happy Plowing all and thanks for the info!
