Can any one help with a copy  of a manual for my 7/26 #38050 snowblower? IIf anyone can copy at least the carb info and pictoral if any I will pay for the copies. If anyone can I will give a PO Box they can send to.

I just get concerned about snapping the bolt or bolts as it is 25 years with not being taken off.  But will give it a try when it get warmer.

I lost my original manual for this toro 7/26, Model 38050, I see that some of you have the manual? Any way if I pay for a copy would someone be kind enough to make me a copy?? It would help  so much, I have all my other ones but a few years back I think it was moved in the garage and I have been searching ever since.

Thanks to ALL for trying to help me with this leak problem!!!!  I gave up until it gets warmer, I did try to adjust the float with a 11/64 drill bit as explained (thank you) but must be off a little yet as it still leaks, I can use it but have to use the shut off.  I don't want to attempt to take the carb off as after 25 years I am concerned about snapping a bolt, so I have been trying to adjust with the carb on. I know not a good idea!!!  When it gets warmer and I can get some help I will try again,  BUT at least I know what is wrong!!  I checked the price on a new one a 8/26 and it goes for 999.99.......will get this one fixed!!!

Thanks Marty, that makes alot of sense. I did put the mixture screw back to where it was and it does run normal,  just that leak problem that I use the shut off to stop.

I would think that the "seat" does not go all the way up but is the part that gets moved (up or down" to make the proper float adjustment, am I understanding you correctly? Also because this is a 25 year old machine I am concerned about breaking a bolt  to take the carb off. 

The local shop wants 40.00 Pick up & re-delivery and then he also said about 75-100 to reapair the leak. That does not count a carb if needed because of the machine age.  This is why I decided to do it myself, and I did take the bowl off about 6 years ago when sediment caused blockage, fixed it and it did not leak and work until this problem.

The other concern was that  clip. it seems to come off to easily.

Once again thank you all for trying to help! Okay it did snow this morning after all (why not) I checked everything again and (1) The bowl is installed with the step down portion towards the float end (front of blower) (2)  Re: Marty's help: The seat was with the smooth side down so I reinstalled so that the "rings" are visible when you look up ijn the seat cavity.  And it still is leaking, like the float is not pushing the needle to close the gas flow??? One thing I did have a problem with is that "clip" from what I see it only goes on one way and attaches to the new float I have.  As far as the float level, I left it the same as it was the first 2 times BUT then did turn the screw both ways to see if that would help and it did not.  What measurement should the level be? 

Unless I somehow damgaed that "seat" by taking out and reinstalling I am lost  with what is wrong. I have a new, needle, clip, float and seat. The bowl is not leaking as the gas comes out of the gasket area and also the choke area if I don't use the shut off. So this does tell me it is a float problem??? I gave up for today , and will order another kit and try again this week, before the new snow storm next week.
