Ok, I wil check that when i get back home, I am currently out of tow!:) I don't recall it do that with the old belt- Perhaps the new belt needs to be broke in? Also, how do you know if the tensioner for the auger/impeller drive is too loose or too tight?

Good Morning! I have an Ariens 824 snow blower(given to me by my in-laws, wonderful people!:), Model 924050, Serial 047439- Can anyone tell me what the date of Manufacture is, and any other pertinent info? Anyway, I just replaced the snow blower accessory belt (not the tractor drive belt) on the 824 after it ate the old one, and the new one squeaks or squeals when you first engage the auger/impeller clutch, when the auger/impeller is at a total stop, is that normal?
