Miele S2, S4, S5 and S7 machines are made in Germany.

Miele's S500 canisters and S160 stick vacs available since the S5 line was unveiled were assembled in China.  These were all budget machines; not in the same league as those made in Bielefeld.

Here in Canada, all Chinese assembled Miele's have been discontinued since the arrival of the S2 series.  Not sure if this has happened yet in the US market, though...

The Miele accessory is the SFS10 Flexhose. It is designed for all S4 and non-electric S2 and S5 models.

The hose is available in Canada for approximately $35.00.

Miracle mate is mfg in Canada, right?

Yes, Miracle Mate is manufactured and headquartered in Richmond, BC. Though It is my understanding they had a branch plant located in Blaine, Washington to supply the US market.

Tornado and Karcher were partners in the North American market until Tornado was sold to Tacony in February 2007. Some machines are still made for Tornado by Karcher, but only a handful compared to what it once was.

In April 2007, Karcher then purchased Castle Rock Industries, including its Windsor brand.
