I bought the ES210 last January. I used it during the winter to blow snow off of the steps and grass clippings off of driveway during the summer. Now that it's fall, I've had a chance to use it as a leaf blower and as a leaf vacuum/shredder. We have trees that are planted in a rock garden. Cleaning the leaves out of the rocks was a major pain until now. With the Echo ES210 set up as a vacuum/shredder, the job is much easier.
This model is the lesser machine of the two Echo models sold. It's engine is marginally smaller than the larger ES230 and I don't know if there is that much of a power difference between the two.
The machine starts and runs very well. The catalytic converter cleans the exhaust so well that once warmed up, it emits no smoke and fumes are minimal. Power is more than adequate for it's intended use. Being a bit of a two stroke motor head, I've tweaked the carb to get a little more power out of it. The machine blows with enough force to require two hand operation at times.
The bag and plastic pipe attachments are first rate quality.
For the money, this unit is hard to beat.
Overall, this is a very good machine.

Pros:
Light, powerful, well built, fuel efficient, clean running, high quality components all at a very attractive price.
Cons:
Converting from blower to Shed 'N Vac is a bit of a chore but I think most are. |
