I have wanted a pneumatic paint sprayer for a long time and I have jobs that require its services. Because my air compressor is not a high capacity unit, I needed to find a paint sprayer that would work with it. So, I found a low pressure paint sprayer from Northern Tool.
I had bought some semi gloss latex enamel watter based paint and was concerned that it would be too thick for the sprayer to pick up, I was wrong. I would agree that if it were oil based, it would have worked better. The sprayer has a tip that can be rotated so that you can get the spray pattern you are looking for. The trigger can also be adjusted so that it can be on without pulling the trigger yourself.
The sprayer did a good job painting the lockers at 40 PSI, but because the paint was latex and watter based, the tip would get clogged after a while and I would have to clean it out. When your done painting and you go to clean it out, it takes a long time to get every bit of the paint out of the gun and pickup tube. This could, as I said, be due to the fact that I was using watter based latex paint.
