Sears 6.5 HP front wheel drive self propelled mulching lawnmower stalls all the time
#1   Jun 8, 2006 8:36 pm
Hi,

I have had this mower for 3 years and it has been like this from almost day one. I live in florida and have floratam grass. Very thick and quick growing. I have the mower set for the lowest setting which is 3 inches. I understand that approximatel a third of the power is used for the self propelled usage and cuts the cutting power of the mower. Keeping the self propelled off the mower still stalls out every few feet. A typical mow will be as follows. The first 100 feet or so is fine, then it stalls every few feet. I lift the mower so as to let the mulch spew out from the side and repeat continuously. I never had this problem with my toro. The grass is dry when i am cutting. I appreciate any imput. tks
