what is a good rule of thumb for pricing used machines vs the comparable new model?

Specifically, if you could get a new 11HP, 30" model for $1499, what would a 2 year old version of the same make and model be worth in good to excellent condition?

Home Depot has a 1130 priced at $1499.

What do you estimate a very good condition, but used, 2 year old 11528 is worth?

A colleague a work (we live in CT) has one for sale and I want to price it fairly for both of us.
