Re: MTD Model 31A-615-D118 snowblower

It is leaking at the top of the carberuator.  There appears to be a small weep hole above the bowl on the carberuator housing.  When you prime it, it squirts out gas.  Should this be????  It  continues to leak gas when the gas valve is open.

I posted an earlier plea for help regarding the above MTD snowblower leaking gas.  We replaced the black gasket but it still is leaking from the top of the carberuator.  Can anyone advise what it might be.

Can anyone help?  I have an MTD snowblower.  When I turned on the gas supply button, I tried starting the snowblower and noticed gas leaking from the side box.  When we opened up the box, it was just dripping out.  We replaced the black gasket, thinking that was the problem, but the gas is still leaking on top of the carberuator.  Any ideas what it might be? Is there a pin hole type weephole on the side of the carberuator above the bowl?  If so, it's squirting gas.    Carol
