Did you try the John Deere dealer? It's Restener and schnel off of American Drive.

I emailed them and included a picture but haven't heard back yet.  I figured that would be easier than trying to describe it over the phone or wasting a trip down there.  If I don't hear anything this weekend I'm going to make a follow-up call Monday.  I just have this bad feeling that the ring isn't and never was a replacement part and won't be available.

JD TRS26 blower chute ring

Help!  I'm in desperate need of a chute ring for my John Deere TRS26 blower.  The welds broke, the ring cracked and it's mangled.  I've tried a couple different local small engine shops with no luck.  Anyone have a good source for parts like this short of finding a donor machine?

Thanks!

John Deere TRS26 or Simplicity 860SE?

After our record snowfall last winter I'm looking for an 8hp upgrade to my 5hp Ariens.  I placed a wanted ad on CL and got a couple options; a John Deere TRS26 and a Simplicity 860SE.  I know this is a loaded question, but which is the better machine?  Also, what's a reasonable price for each?  I've never had anything other than my Ariens which has been uber-reliable so I'm exploring new territory here.

Thanks for the input!

That makes sense, especially since I've never used a fuel stabilizer and it was the first start of the season.  Normally I run the fuel out of the system but if I remember right, I just shut it off that year.

Thanks for the help!
