Poulan Chain saw clutch

I've got a Poulan 3314 chain saw about a year and a half old. See a bit of use but not much. Today I tried to use it and the chain will not turn. If I take the bar and chain off I can turn the clutch using a channel locks with a bit of difficulty. When reving it the clutch will start smoking and not turn at all. Any ideas what's wrong with the clutch?
