Chris, They might not let Marshall into the class...It says in the pamphlet that you need to know the difference between a screwdriver and a wrench in order to meet the prerequisites! Besides that, he gets all "flustered" when he tries to use a feeler gage because he thinks it is something to use on the females in the class! Walt

Walt Well I'm expecting to be the only female there - so Marshall paws off! Actually I find it to be a glorified nap session. You get an hour or two in and you look around to see how many eyes are still open. You don't find too many. It's just a way to get away from the shops for a couple of days. Sherri

Sherri, A good instructor will get people moving if they start to see glassy eyes. It is unfortunate that many classes are that way, as they usually have technically good people trying to be good instructors, and the two are two entirely different things. A good class will also have a skills hierarchy that starts with the base material and then progress in a fashion that does not lose the class, but makes them more alert. If a student gets lost in the beginning because it is to technical, they will turn off of the rest of the class because they are still trying to figure out the beginning. The result is often times a waste for everyone. Regardless, enjoy, and take good notes! Walt
