Update: Briggs vertical shaft engine 875 series Toro Timemaster (finally the 1000 series engine will be standard) Original Message Apr 3, 2014 10:48 am
Mower has this engine but is underpowered. Anyone know if the 1000 series (10 ft.-lbs. gross torque) 223cc engine has the same mounting hole pattern / crankshaft dimensions? It's in the same family and weighs about the same, but can't find the dimensional drawings for it. These are the only specs I can find:

Engine Displacement (cc)
223
Number of Cylinders
Single
Engine Configuration
Vertical Shaft
Engine Technology
OHV
Length (in)
15.8
Width (in)
13.4
Height (in)
10.1
Weight (lbs)
31.0
Bore (in)
2.91
Stroke (in)
2.04
Engine Fuel
Gasoline
Fuel Tank Capacity (gallons)
0.3
Lubrication System
Dura-Lube Splash Lubrication
Oil Capacity (oz)
18
Oil Filter
Optional
Starter
ReadyStart
Air Filter
Dual-Sealing Commercial-Grade Air Cleaner
Muffler
Super Lo-Tone
Fuel Shutoff Valve
Optional
